Kusama cushion

This plant, growing on our wall at home, reminds me of the art of Yayoi Kusama (1929-2026). The act of creating brought relief to her lifelong fight against anxiety. In 2021, she said, "I followed the thread of art and somehow discovered a path that would allow me to live."
